How to install Baseline for tournamentsUpdated 2 hours ago

Whether you're running a local event or a national tour, Baseline's dual-camera system brings pro-level officiating to any court – quickly and easily. Watch our installation guide below.

What’s inside a 1-court kit?

  • 2 cameras

  • 2 mounting arms

  • 15-metre ethernet cable

  • 2 square pole adapters

  • 2 charger cables for the cameras

Optional add-ons include:

  • 2 spare batteries

  • 1 dual-battery charging station

How to install your cameras

A single court can be set up in minutes.

Mount the first camera

1. Attach the mounting arm to the top of the net post.

2. Use the lever on the right side of the mount to open and secure it in place

  • If the post is square, use the adapter from your kit. Snap it onto the right side of the mount before attaching it as usual.

3. Slide the camera onto the magnetic quick-release plate until it clicks into place.

Align and level

4. Loosen the wheel on the mount to adjust camera orientation.

  • The bubble on top of the camera should be centered, and the line should line up with the net.

5. Once the camera is in the right position, tighten the wheel clockwise to lock it in.

Mount the second camera on the opposite side of the court

6. Repeat Steps 1-5 to mount the second camera.

Connect the cameras

7. Connect the ethernet cable to one of the cameras.

8. Thread the cable through the net 5–7 times.

9. Connect the cable to the second camera.

Power on

10. Press the power button on top of the cameras to turn them on.

11. Wait about 20 seconds, until you hear “Dual camera mode.” The LED will blink pink twice, indicating that the cameras are paired and ready to go.

Connect and calibrate

Make sure you have the Baseline Vision app installed on your device. You can download it from the App Store or Google Play.

12. On the app’s main screen, tap Match Mode. Approve all permission prompts during setup.

13. Scan the QR code of the camera you want to receive sound or light feedback from. Blue LED lights will blink when your phone is connected.

  • Only one camera can give feedback at a time, so make sure it’s the one you’re near.
  • If you are playing Doubles, make sure to tap on “Doubles”

14. The camera will now calibrate by detecting court lines. Make sure there is nothing in the way and no one standing in front of it during the process.

15. Once calibration is complete, you’ll hear “Ready to play”, and green LED lights will blink. Tap “OK, all set” in the app to start the match.

Now you're ready to play. The cameras will call out every shot, and automatically detect and announce serves too.

Shutdown and packing up

1. End the session in the app, then press and hold the camera’s power button for 3 seconds until it turns off.

2. Slide the camera off the mount.

3. Use the lever to release the mount from the post.

4. Pack up the ethernet cable.
